Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Douglas Johnson is an American Actor, Model, Producer and Professional Wrestler. Dwayne is also known by his ring name “The Rock”. Dwayne Johnson was born on May2, 1972 in Hayward, California. The grandson of professional wrestler Peter “HighChief”Fanene Maivia and son of wrestler Rocky Johnson. Dwayne Grew up watching his father Perform in the ring, but no plan to follow in his footsteps. During his high school years, Dwayne began playing football and he soon received a full scholarship from the University of Miami, where he had tremendous success as a football player. In 1995, Dwayne suffered a back injury which cost him a place in the NFL. He then signed a three years deal with the Canadian League but left after a year to pursue a career in wrestling.

                 

                         He made his wrestling debut in the USWA the name Flex Kavanan where he won the tag team championship with Brett Sawyer. In 1996, Dwayne joined the WWE and became Rocky Maivia where he joined a group known as “The Nation of Domination” and turned heel. Rocky eventually took over leadership of the “Nation” and began talking the persona of “The Rock”. After the “Nation” split, The Rock joined another group “Corporation” but soon the Rock took time off from WWE to film his appearance in “The Mummy Returns” (2001). He returned in 2001 during the WCW/ ECW invasion where he joined a team of WWE wrestler at “The Scorpion King” (2002) a prequel to “The Mummy Returns” (2001). Rock has won WWF Heavy Weight title six times and WWF tag team championships five times.

Acting Career:

                               Outside the ring, The Rock has launched a successful acting career. Johnson broke into the mainstream with roles in the block buster acting film “The Mummy Returns” (2001), “The Scorpion King” (2002) the acting comedy “The Rundown” in (2003) and the remark of “Walking Tall” in (2004). He played a supporting role in “Be Cool” (2005) and was the primary antagonist in “Doom” (2006). Roles in “Gridiron Gang” (2006) and Johnson played against type in “Southland Tales” (2006) he played a cocky famous American football player in the film “The Game Plan” (2007) and agent 23 in “Get Smart” (2008). He was nominated for the favorite movie actor Award at the 2008 Nickelodeon kids, choice Award for his role in “The Game Plan”, but lost out to Johnny Depp in “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”.

                          Johnson hosted the Nickelodeon kids Award in 2008. He appeared in the Cory in the house episode “Never the Dwayne Shall Meet” and the wizard of Waverly place episode “Art Teacher”. In 2009 Johnson played ex-con cab driver Jack Bruno in Las Vegas in “Race To Witch Mountain” and provided the voice of capt Charles “chuck” Baker in “planet 51” (2009). He starred in the family comedy “Tooth Fairy” (2010) and fabulous acting in “Why Did I Get Married Too” (2010). He briefly appeared as an acting-seeking detective in “The Other Guys” (2010) and returned to action film “Faster” (2010). Johnson appeared in “Fast Five” (2011) the fifth film of “The Fast and the Furious” film series as DSS agent Luke Hobbs, who is assigned to hurt down the series protagonists. Dwayne worked again with Universal Studios for first film roles. “Fast Five” grossed over $86 millions in its opening weekend, the biggest opening “Fast & Furious” films. Johnson starred in the adventure sequel film “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” (2012) and headline action drama film “Snitch” (2013). Dwayne Johnson became known for reinvigorating film franchises after portraying Road block in “G.I.Joe: Retaliation” in 2013 and reprising his role as Luke Hobbs in “Fast and the Furious 6” (2013). He also starred in true story films “Pain & Gain” (2013) and “Empire State” (2013).

                      In 2014 Johnson has release fabulous film “Hercules” this is box office successful film and his role as Luke Hobbs in “Fast & Furious: Supercharged” (2015) and sequel box office hit movie “San Andreas” (2015). Forbes credited the success of “Furious 7” (2015) Johnson frequent acting work as primary reason for   him from topping the list. In 2016 Dwayne Johnson co-star with Kevin Hart in the acting comedy “Central Intelligence” and had a lead voice role in the Disney animated film “Moana”. He returned for the action film “The Fate of the Furious” release on April 14, 2017. 

       

                             On January 2017, it was announced that Johnson role as Black Adam for the DC extended universe will now include two separated film installment the previously announced “Shazam” film and an installment focusing on his hero/villain character as well the following month it was reported that he was also beginning work on a comedy film about a family of WWE fighter titled fighting with my family. In April of 2017 Johnson was release very fabulous movie “Journey 3: From the Earth to the Moon” (2017) and Dwayne upcoming production schedule was announced that filming for “Fighting with my Family” and  “Rampage” had began and that jungle cruise will begin filming in early 2018.

Their daughter, Simone Alexandra was born August 14, 2001 on june 1, 2007 they announced they were splitting up amicably and intended to remains friends. Soon after the divorce Johnson began dating Lauren Hashian, the daughter of Boston Drummer Sib Hashian. They first met in 2006 while Johnson was film “The Game Plan” prompting rumors he left his marriage for Hashian. Their first child, a daughter named Jasmine she was born in December 2015.
